16802 - Science and Engineering Practices and the New Science Standards

Course Description

As we enter the installation phase of the new North Carolina Science Standards, the 8 Science and Engineering Practices lifted by the National Research Council are identified as the anchor for this shift. This seminar will focus on the 8 SEPs and how they can be used to lift our new standards. Participants will leave this session with intentional exposures to activities that highlight the new standards, as well as resources that support the implementation of the 8 SEPs. (Cullowhee)
