Course Description

This immersive workshop is designed to empower educators with the deep content knowledge and tools to seamlessly integrate the natural world into their curriculum. Our goal is to inspire teachers to utilize outdoor spaces as dynamic classrooms while increasing students’ self-efficacy as they face environmental issues. Throughout the workshop, participants will gain practical insights on how to align these experiences with the new science standards. We emphasize the transformative power of taking learning beyond traditional walls as we explore how to integrate community science, cultural connections and natural phenomena into place- and challenge-based learning.
