Course Description

Please join us in Cullowhee as we examine early reading instruction in Spanish. We will discover best practices through the Emergent, Beginning, and Instructional stages of literacy development. Spanish beginning readers must have many opportunities to practice reading and writing throughout the school day. Oral language is key as the children are attaching meaning to the words they read. Presenters will share effective classroom strategies and offer multiple opportunities for collaboration with other K-5 Spanish Dual Language teachers across the state.
