Course Description

This workshop is a call to action for anyone wanting to shift from a traditional model that assumes the teacher holds the keys to all knowledge to a learner-centered approach that leverages proven “P” Based Learning strategies such as Project, Problem, Place, and Phenomenon Based Learning. This workshop will use a Design Thinking framework to allow participants to co-design projects, activities, and lessons that will lead to deeper engagement, relevance, and learning for every student. It is open to all teachers, especially ones assumed such innovative strategies were not suited for their grade level or subject area. Join us at NCCAT as we dive deep into why such a paradigm shift is needed in our schools, how that shift can happen at scale, and what specific moves you can make in your own practice and classroom.
